What is Hotel Pomander’s address?
Frauentorgraben 11, Nuremberg, 90443, Germany. We’re at the gates of the Old Town and in the heart of Nuremberg’s cultural centre.
Is the hotel close to the train station?
Very - just two minutes’ walk. From there, it’s 16 minutes to the airport.
Where is the nearest ATM?
In the main train station – so two minutes’ walk from Pomander’s doors.
Is there a pharmacy close by?
Also in the train station - so two minutes’ away.
How many stars does the hotel have?
Hotel Pomander isn’t officially star-rated. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t deliver a premium service.
How recently was the hotel refurbished?
We’re glad you asked - 2022.

Your Stay and Facilities
What are the check-in & check-out times?
Check-in from 3pm and check-out from 12pm. Get in touch on welcome@hotelpomander.de or +49 911 36 63 00 to ask about early or late arrivals and departures. We can hold your luggage while you’re waiting for your room or exploring the city, no problem.
What languages are spoken at Hotel Pomander?
Our friendly staff speak German and English.
Is Hotel Pomander non-smoking?
Yes. Please head outside to smoke - you’re bound to discover something (or someone) interesting.
Is breakfast included?
It depends on the rate you’ve chosen, so check your booking details.
For those with breakfast included, it’s served in Public Kitchen & Bar, from 6.30 – 10.30 Monday to Friday and 7.00 - 11.00 at the weekend. It’s a lavish, buffet-style affair, with fresh pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, granola, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, bacon and more. Dig in. 25€ per person.
If you’re gong without, you might want to pop into The Blend for a pastry, a bowl of something wholesome or coffee to go.
Do you have parking?
Yes - and lots of it. We’ve got 155 spaces in our underground lot, and 2 charging stations for electric vehicles. 24-hour parking costs EUR 22.00.
Do you have a pool?
We do. In the Wellness area on floor -1, you’ll find a heated indoor pool and a choice of two saunas. Swim and relax from 7.00 - 22.00 from Mon – Sun. Sauna 16.00 – 22.00 Mon – Fr and 12.00 – 22.00 Sat + Sun
And a gym?
Yes, on floor 7. Find cardio equipment, a yoga area and incredible 180 degree views of the city. Work out from 7.00 – 22.00 every day.
Do you have room service?
We don’t. We do have a vibey day-to-night bar (The Blend, open Mon-Sun 07:00 - 19:00) and elegant, unpretentious dining (Public Kitchen & Bar, open Mon-Sun 18.00 - 00.00), though - feel free to check them out.
Is there a laundry service?
There is. Get in touch with reception to find out more.
Can I get an extra bed or a baby crib?
You can indeed (depending on your room size). Just call reception.
How fast is your internet?
We like a slower pace at Hotel Pomander apart from in one area: our internet. Our WiFi is fast, it’s everywhere and it’s free.
Do you offer a special rate for 10+ rooms?
Get in touch with us on welcome@hotelpomander.de when making your booking. We’ll see what we can do.
Do you offer connecting rooms/disabled rooms?
Yes, we do. Simply call Pomander when you’re booking to arrange.
Do you have hairdryers?
We do. Have a look in the drawer in the entrance to your room.
Is there a restaurant at Hotel Pomander?
Yes, there is - Public Kitchen & Bar serves unpretentious, feel-good food, open 18.00 - 00.00 Mon - Sun. There’s also The Blend coffee shop and bar, perfect for coffee, coworking and quick, casual lunches, open 07.00 - 19.00 Mon-Sun.
Do you have a bar?
There’s a large central bar in Public Kitchen & Bar, serving beers, cocktails, wine mixers and more. You can also order drinks from The Blend, our day-to-night café bar. Both are open to guests and locals alike.
Public Kitchen & Bar is open 18.00 - 0.00, Mon-Sun
The Blend is open 07.00 - 19.00 Mon-Sun.
Payments and Cancellations
Do I need a credit card? What about ID?
Yes and yes.
What if I need to cancel?
For room cancellations, check the details in your confirmation email to see if you’re entitled to a refund or email info@hotelpomander.de.
For event cancellations, it depends on the terms of your contract. Generally - although not always - you can cancel within three months free of charge. If you cancel within between one and two months of your booking you can expect a refund between 20-50%. If you cancel within one month, you will still be charged for your event. We urge you to check the details of your agreement and speak with the events team for more specific details.
Do you offer vouchers/how can I redeem a voucher?
Yes, we offer vouchers in our gift shop.
Do you accept cash?
Pay contactless using your credit card, Maestro, Apple Pay, etc or with cash.
Other/Meetings & Events

How many meeting rooms do you have?
We have the Pomander ballroom which can hold up to 800 people. Plus we have three other meeting rooms which can accommodate up to up to 25 guests respectively depending on the format.
What is your total capacity for a meeting and event?
Around 800, but it depends on your chosen format. Our Meetings and Events page has more information.
Do you do after work drinks, weddings, birthday celebrations etc?
Public Kitchen & Bar, has two private spaces available for hire. They’re perfect for dinner or drinks. Take a look at our Food & Drinks page to find out more.
